Omaha, Neb. - The sixth annual Kicks for a Cure soccer exhibition, a benefit for the Liz's Legacy Cancer Fund, was held April 15 and 16, 2011, and raised more than $181,000 - a record amount for the annual event.

Lincoln, Neb. - For four years, the Lincoln Ultimate Disc Association (LUDA) has hosted seasonal ultimate frisbee leagues and LollapaLUDA, a one-day ultimate tournament held in October. Originally, LollapaLUDA was intended to be a free tournament with no real purpose other than getting a bunch of people together to play ultimate for an afternoon. However, in 2010, the aim of the tournament became that of charity.
